Welcome!
The Little Orange Creek Nature Park is owned by The City of Hawthorne and supported by Friends of Little Orange Creek (FLOC). The property was acquired through a Florida Communities Trust grant that was written by Putnam Land Conservancy (PLC).
The park is located about 1.3 miles east of Hawthorne on Route 20. There are 65 beautiful rolling acres on the south side of CR 20, including a 5500 square foot home which is used for environmental educational classes, rented for weddings, family reunions and other events. On the north side of the property on SR 20 is 1200+ acres with planned activities such as hiking, horseback riding, birding, 3D archery and more!
We invite you to become a member of our friends group. You can help us by volunteering at the property itself, by donating items on our wish list, and of course by donating the funds needed for ongoing projects.
We hope that the vision we have for Little Orange Creek Nature Park will inspire those of you who have not yet become involved. And, we are very appreciative to those of you who have already given, and continue to give of your time and financial resources.
