Friends of Little Orange Creek is providing support to the city of Hawthorne in the process of acquiring, organizing and funding Little Orange Creek Nature Park. We are dedicated to doing our best to further the progress of making the park into the best it can be for our community.
You can help in a number of ways, by giving of your time, talent, resources and voice.
Membership
The best way to get connected is through membership. Membership in FLOC is $25 per household and is renewed annually in January. Membership provides you with information about the progress of the park development, information on the Board and FLOC activities, and connects you to others who care about our community, history and the environment. Membership fee goes towards the administrative costs of the Friends group as well as writing grants to gain funding for projects.
NEW $100 Annual Corporate Membership – Show you suport local Hawthorne. Corporate Membership will get your business listed and linked on our website. Also mentioned on our Facebook page, in newsletters and at events.
Donate
Donations above membership dues go directly towards our current projects. Friends of Little Orange Creek Inc is a non-for profit 501(c)(3), so donations are tax deductible. Donations can conveniently be made online now via PayPal, or mailed to PO Box 611, Hawthorne FL 32640.
Volunteer
We would also welcome your involvement in work days out on the land, or participation on the board or committees. Please check our calendar for possible work days, and contact our volunteer coordinator for more information at floc@littleorangecreek.org.
